GAITHERSBURG, MD: Representative McClain Delaney sent a letter to Patrick L. Lechleitner, Acting Director for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), requesting to schedule a tour of a Baltimore ICE facility and speak with detainees and staff. In her letter, Representative McClain Delaney also asked to personally inspect and evaluate ICE's conditions. Additionally, she requested a briefing on how ICE plans and carries out its operations across Maryland, including this year's number of enforcement actions, arrests, deportations, and releases in the state's Sixth Congressional District ( CD-6).
"As a Member of Congress, Representative McClain Delaney should prioritize enforcing the rule of law, not creating exceptions for criminals," said Burnett. "Her focus should be on protecting law-abiding American citizens."
Chris Burnett is a retired Marine Corps officer and national security lawyer running for
Congress in Maryland’s 6th Congressional District.
