Burnett asserts America will strike back hard against ISIS terrorists in Syria

GAITHERSBURG, MD: U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on X that U.S. and allied forces "conducted large-scale strikes" against numerous ISIS targets across Syria as part of Operation Hawkeye Strike, which was launched following the ISIS terrorist attack on U.S. and Syrian forces in Palmyra, Syria, in December 2025.

“Having served in the counter-ISIS mission with Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR), I understand firsthand how dangerous this region continues to be and how critical it is to protect U.S. forces deployed there," said Burnett.
